On-Point Engineering Services, LLC delivers systems engineering, design, and technical support to the Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) industry. Our team has decades of experience in supporting satellite system architecture and analysis, and ground systems development from concept through on-orbit test. On-Point team members have had key roles in supporting major programs such as the Mobile User Objective Satellite (MUOS) network management development and system test, and numerous studies and programs including EHF MILSATCOM, and the High Capacity Communications Capacity (HC3). As on-site consultants to a major satellite vendor, key On-Point team members were instrumental in developing a winning proposal for the Affordable, Protected Tactical Satellite Communications Study and Demonstration for U.S. Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (USAF SMC).

Our services for MILSATCOM include proposal support, requirements assessment, system specification development, design review (PDR, IDR, CDR) support, communications system performance analysis and simulation, risk and opportunity assessment, satellite test data analysis, and on-orbit communications planning support.

On-Point Engineering Services, LLC has extensive experience with new business and proposal activities on government communications satellite programs. We can provide the technical know-how to help select optimum satellite system architectures, develop the resultant system and subsystem level requirements, support prime and subcontractor proposal development, author proposal technical content, lead subcontractor proposal evaluations, and support Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and RED team reviews. Our team members are able to support these activities in-house or full/part-time on-site at the customer’s facility.

Our team is experienced in developing and authoring satellite communications system, software, and hardware specifications from the system level through the subsystem and component level. On-Point team members have contributed to the technical development of major satellite communications system specifications; interface control documents (ICDs) for UHF and EHF MILSATCOM; ground system and network management specifications for MUOS; and terminal specifications for associated radios.

On-Point Engineering Services, LLC has strong domain expertise in satellite system integration, on-orbit communications testing, and data analysis. Key internal research at On-Point is currently focusing on the development and application of “big-data” techniques to the efficient reduction and analysis of data for military communications and missile data systems.
